The work of animal communication has been widely recognized and accepted in recent decades. Success enjoyed by these practitioners to diagnose and solve various animal problems has overcome skepticism gradually. Even so, the ability to understand the thoughts and feelings of animals is usually considered a rare and esoteric gift. In fact, the ability to communicate with other creatures like this is inherent in all of us. That is part of our birthright.
For many of us there are two main factors that impede our ability to communicate with animals. The first is the conditioning that we receive from a culture that we do not believe that such things are possible. Because they have no reason to believe that such communication can not happen, children will often report on animal thoughts and feelings. By the time we become an adult, many of us have learned doubts. Secondly, we are constrained by a number of restrictive beliefs that stick with regard to animals in general. In too many cases, we think that they can not express sophisticated thoughts and emotions, not simple and intellectual.
Animal communicators assert that animals are always communicating with humans by telepathy. But as long as our cultural conditions are disturbing us, we try not to accept their message. If you want to understand our pet and other animals, we first need to thoroughly examine and extend our belief system in order to think that such communication is possible. Then our own openness will enable a miracle to happen.
Many people who have successfully communicated with animals have reported that they have received messages in various ways. Some people record their physical sensations. Other people can receive a "concept" and use it to translate into words. Other people may "know" the facts about a particular animal without hearing things or registering something in a sensuous way.
Tailoring our minds to animals includes being open to the extent that many of us are avoiding in our daily lives. Often our world stimulates us such as irritation, noise, speed, overcrowding. We will learn to stop or minimize a lot of this in order to function. If we want to understand other creatures that share this planet we need to give up some of this protective shield and learn to trust our inner feeling and recognition again.
If we treat animals as a conscious, reactive, and intellectual existence, they are more likely to want to communicate with us. They are very conscious of our thoughts and their emotions. They react in their own unique ways.
So the key to good animal communication (according to my dog Tucker) is a combination of believing in that possibility. We open ourselves to the process mentally and emotionally, respect animals we exchange our thoughts and emotions, respect lovingly.
