Foreword
The beginning of the 21st century has shown a new era, the beginning of the era of progress and technology. Even though we started with some revolutionary changes that people would have never imagined thousands of years ago, it still caused some harm to it. The greatest harm done in the 21st century was in the environment. Along with the progress of social development and industrialization, everything is changing. Everything is not for improvement.
Climate change
The process of industrialization has created new fear for the only planet in the entire solar system that may support the life, human life, pollution of this planet, humanity. Pollution increased as this global industry grew. Contamination not only hurt the Earth's ozone layer but also caused dramatic climate change with it (Nrdc.org, 2010). The increased climate change affected humans as well as other creatures and animals that occupied this planet. Animals must be confronted with all the changes that humans have made on this planet and it is being influenced by it. Industrialization not only increased pollution, it also took place to deforestation. Globalization, the formation of communities, and the process of growth approaching each other have an adverse effect on animals. It robbed their natural home. Climate change was extreme enough that certain animals became rare and gradually extinct (Worldnews dailyreport.com, 2014).
Remaining animals
Since the Arctic collapse, the number of polar bears and penguins has drastically decreased. Some Arctic animals such as mammoth and saber teeth are extinct due to climate change (Prendergast, 2014). In these situations that follow the lives of all people on the planet, ineffective people need to evacuate to health care providers. Since animals can not control the surrounding environment, it is a helpless creature when choosing the right environment for animals. They have no facilities or intelligence to adjust the temperature for automatic increase and decrease according to their choice, as humans do. In this case, the zoo provides evacuation centers they need for survival.
The zoo is not ethical
Zoos are by no means unethical if animals living in animals are properly taken care of and meeting all their requirements. Animals are fragile creatures because they can not convey their needs to humans. They have their own language, but they are beyond human understanding. The zoo is as ethical as possible as long as the zoo provides everything animal needs, delicious food, adequate environment, nurturing and hygiene. Recent zoos also include medical professionals who tend to help mothers give babies and injure animals. The baby is also fed on time and is well taken care of. If an animal meets all the professional requirements needed to take care of living things, there is nothing that is not ethical to the zoo.
A conclusion
Even if animal freedom is compromised, animal safety and nutrition will increase. The animals are often kept and care of the natural habitats as much as possible. Animals are more likely to die due to malnutrition at a natural habitat like a zoo (Yarrow, 2014). Zoo animals are fed regularly and properly. With advances in technology that help to provide a better place for animals to live, the zoo is not entirely ethical.
